This was created just to practice more screen-print-like textures between other projects while I had time. I'd always wanted to tackle a Jaws poster using one of my favourite styles, travel posters. Of course, inspiration was taken from Laurent Durieux's iconic design.
The poster was made just for fun while I had time, from sketch to completion, the entire process was built up in Adobe Photoshop. After my initial sketch, I tried out many different colour studies and picked my four favourites to work from. Although my favourite study was number four, I felt like it didn't belong within the world of Jaws, the final piece had to have that balance between the film's Amity Island and vintage travel posters. The final piece takes the best elements from all four of these final studies whilst only using the twelve colours below.
